The plaintiff, a former public employee, brought this state law and First Amendment action against her former county agency and several county officials, alleging that she was terminated for statements she made to the media, the public, and a court. The officials appeal the district court's denial of their motions for summary judgment on the ground of qualified immunity. Finding that the illegality of the officials' alleged actions under the First Amendment was not clearly established, we reverse in part, affirm in part, and remand for further proceedings.
